Day 1: Melbourne to Great Ocean Road
Set off along the spectacular Great Ocean Road, soaking up stunning coastal views and iconic rock formations like the 12 Apostles. Stop for a delicious morning tea and sweet treats at the Great Ocean Road Chocolaterie before wandering among some of the world’s tallest trees in the ancient rainforest of the Great Otway National Park. Discover the haunting history of the shipwreck coast, explore the hidden beauty of Loch Ard Gorge, and keep your eyes peeled for native wildlife along the way. After a full day of adventure, settle in for the night at your comfortable accommodation.

Day 2: Grampians to Melbourne
Rise early and head to spectacular lookouts including Boroka, Reeds, and The Balconies, offering panoramic views over the rugged Grampians landscape. This region, rich in Aboriginal culture, is alive with Australian wildlife such as emus and kangaroos. Explore peaceful bush trails and marvel at majestic waterfalls like MacKenzie Falls that will stay with you long after your trip. In the afternoon, journey back to Melbourne, arriving in the early evening with memories of two incredible days spent between coast and mountains.

EXCLUSIONS

  • Travel insurance – Not required, but we highly recommend it—just in case.
  • Spending money – For snacks, drinks, souvenirs, or anything else you might want on the road.

CHILD POLICY:

This fare type applies to Adults 18+ and over. Children aged between 6 to 17 years old are required to stay in standard private accommodation and must be accompanied by a legal guardian or adult. Private accommodation upgrades are available on a different product listing, subject to availability. This tour is not suitable for infants or children 5 years and under. 

WEATHER:

Please be aware that weather conditions can vary throughout the year in Victoria. While we endeavour to operate our tours as planned, there may be occasions when rain or inclement weather affects our itinerary. Rest assured, your experience will still proceed unless you are directly contacted by the tour provider. To ensure you're prepared for the weather, please check the average temperatures for your travel dates and pack accordingly. Comfortable clothing suitable for varying weather conditions is recommended.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

  • Passenger details must be provided at the time of booking. This includes your date of birth, any food allergies, gender or title (for rooming purposes), and a contact phone number.
  • Dietary requirements must be advised when booking. While we do our best to cater to most dietary needs, options are limited once the tour has commenced, so advance notice is essential.
  • Any known medical conditions must be disclosed at the time of booking. This tour involves outdoor walks and activities and requires a moderate level of fitness and mobility.
  • A moderate fitness level is required. Daily walks range from 1 to 2 km over uneven, rocky terrain, often in direct sunlight. Walks are conducted at the guide’s discretion based on group ability and weather conditions. Travellers aged 75 or over must provide a doctor’s certificate at least 30 days prior to travel.
  • Travellers booked under the Basix Shared Accommodation fare (WGG2-B) will be placed in shared bunk-style rooms with communal bathrooms. This touring brand and fare type is available to adults aged 18 years and over only and is not suitable for children.
  • This tour is not suitable for mobility-impaired travellers, including those using wheelchairs, walkers, prams, or strollers, due to uneven tracks and limited accessibility in remote locations.
  • Each traveller is allowed one overnight bag up to 15 kg and one small day pack up to 5 kg. Larger luggage should be stored at your Melbourne accommodation while on tour.
  • Itineraries may change due to seasonal conditions, weather events, road access, or national park closures. Your safety is our priority, and we will adapt as needed to ensure the best experience.
  • Guests are encouraged to help out with basic tasks like meal prep, unpacking, and loading luggage. It’s a great way to connect with fellow travellers and keep the group experience running smoothly.
